Ray Nagai/OKOLEFILM

神奈川県茅ヶ崎市出身のフォトグラファー。学生時代をハワイのホノルルで過ごし、2017年にフィルムカメラで写真を撮り始める。カレッジ卒業後ホノルルのアートギャラリーで働き、ローカルアーティストやアメリカ本土のアーティストと交流するにつれて、自身もアーティストとして表現していく事を志す様になる。今は日本をベースに活動し撮影や展示を精力的に行っている。

ランドスケープ、シースケープをメインワークとし、”明日にはないかもしれない今”を意識し日々の生活の中の美しさを撮影し続けている。

I am Ray Nagai as known as okolefilm. I am a photographer based in Kanagawa, Japan.

I was born and raised in Japan. I moved to Hawaii when I was 18 and spent my college years in Honolulu, Hawaii. I dove into my photography journey in 2017 with my very first own camera, Lomography Diana F+. After graduating college in Honolulu, I have worked for an art gallery, and I have met many artists from Hawaii and mainland of US. That made me start to try to live as one artist.

I mainly photograph landscapes, seascapes ,and the beauty in our daily life, to capture the moment of the time that is never going to happen again.
